Angela Gaither-Parker
TAP Director, Group Therapist, & Vocational Training Director
~All programs will be under the direction under Angel. She holds a
Bachelor's in Psychology and Physical Education and a Master's in
Special Education. Additionally, she has a graduate certificate in
"Educating Students with Autism and Other Pervasive Developmental
Disorders" from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Gaither-Parker has over
15 years experience in treating students on the autism spectrum.
Ms. Angel is married to her very best friend (Chris) and she enjoys working
out, going to the beach, reading true crime novels and rooting for Duke
Basketball and the Redskins. Angel loves being outside and enjoys
sharing this love with the kids she teaches. She credits her family for the
success of The Autism Project.
Erica Haines
Therapeutic Play Program Director, Summer Camp Director,
Group Therapists, IISS Tech, & Parent Social Director
~Miss Erica holds a Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation and is
proud to be a Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) with a
strong passion for children with an Autism Spectrum Diagnosis and their
families. Therapeutic recreation uses treatment, education and recreation
services to help people with illnesses, disabilities and other conditions to
develop and use their leisure in ways that enhance their health, functional
abilities, independence and quality of life. Erica has over 10 years of
experience working with children with various special needs and has been
certified since 2005.
Miss Erica loves to laugh and appreciates the little things in life. She lives
with her four-legged furry children, (one dog, and one cat). Born on Super
Bowl Sunday, Erica has always been a loyal Redskin fan but loves
watching any sport live. She is very family oriented and cannot thank her
family enough for their support. Miss Erica loves children of all abilities
and feels privileged to be a part of such a wonderful organization.
